(From Heart of Illinois ABC) - Maude Howard travels 8 blocks from her home in Peoria to the Logan Recreation Center to the every Sunday.
″I’m just here to get vegetables for me, my family and my grandchildren,” Howard said.
Inside the center is Market 309, an accessible market provided by Peoria Grown. Their goal is to provide affordable foods to the community.
Howard said she’s able to get all her staple vegetables on her trips to the market.
